With the launch of group shows Cam4 will also soon be adding a feature where the performer can take only his tippers and tippers alone private to see him cum.

This will make Cam4 so much better than Chaturbate!

Cam4 have also listened to concerns about heavy handed moderators and soon there will be a new feature in place which will enable all members to rate a moderators performance and if they score too low that person will then be moderator banned and therefore unable to ever mod again!! this has to be the best invention yet.

I knew about the 'rate a mod' thing they were planning as Nikki Night mentioned it during one of her coaching sessions. Some unpopular mods like icuto are going to suffer at the mercy of that feature! pmsl

I hope cam4 does some thinking before they implement the ratings for mods.

I've been a moderator at cam4 for about 3 years now. The above two people are pretty typical about how people feel about moderators because "free speech" is not a right in a performer's room. Then there are the others that are frankly abusive that will be able to rate moderators. So how many will stop to give good rating to a moderator? A high mod turnover rate will be not a good thing for the site because frankly one has to know what they are doing and pay special attention to the performer's wishes. I've been told more than once moderating a str8 guys room to 'ban all the guys that say sexual stuff to me", etc. I obviously didn't stay his moderator long, but people should realize the performer has the last word on the words said in his room. An experienced moderator can be an enormous help to a performer by answering the repetitive questions, and encouraging tips. I think it is just fine for anyone to encourage tips whether they've tipped for that particular show or not. My part in giving to the performer is with my mod help. It's not a paid, nor much thanked position. Try it before you dis it..you will probably think differently about mods.

Rate a mod will never work. Its open for abuse.

There are some great mods on Cam4. Ethan, Shark, Felix - they are wonderful people.

But at the other end of the scale you have some psychos who have caused serious problems for many people on there. One guy is notorious. His activities have been highlighted across the net but he still manages to get away with it some how. This despite the fact most people on Cam4 are well aware of the things he has done. He has slandered performers and members alike because of his jealously. Its those guys who give the mods a bad name. Thankfully not many use that particular guy any more. At least not from what I've seen.

Cam4 have been advising performers on how to select mods. They usually recommend you never use anyone who asks for the position and they also recommend you only use a trusted tipper. Cam4's ''research'' showed that if a mod wasn't tipping then usually the actual tippers didn't either. So that's why they advise you to use a tipper as mod.

Matt Kayd's mod Felix is not a good person. I share the same group of tippers as Matt. Felix being paranoid and obsessive started spying on my shows. Then by chance I was broadcasting one night at the same time as Matt. Felix came into my room and sent pvts to my tippers to let them know Matt was broadcasting. This is no different to spamming in the main room, doing it in secret is what rats do. It put me off Matt and I used to like the guy. I also want to add, the only reason Matt has the top cam on here is because Felix once again being obsessive has created hundreds of accounts to get Matt there. By rights the top Cam4 male is dariusz23 and everyone knows it. Darius has won 240 Cam of the Day awards, Matt has won 30. The actual facts speak for themselves.

So Darius is the true King. Darius wins first place almost every day because he is himself, he doesn't need to rely on gimmicks and he certainly never needs to cheat his popularity.

You are one of the reasons they are making changes like this. Don't think what you are doing hasn't gone unnoticed either. You have 'poached' many Cam4 performers and made them set up home on Chaturbate all because of your Cam4 vendetta and today I find out YOU have been trying to lure more of Cam4's top guys off the site and onto your little world of CB.

No wonder you keep being banned on Cam4 Rob. How many accounts have you had now exactly?

Therefore its the performer who suffers in the long run. Being able to rate how well the mod does is a great idea. Being able to rate will only be limited to the tippers so its not open to abuse from anyone. If you haven't got anything to hide then you have nothing to worry about. Likewise with Kim telling performers to only use their tippers as mods. If you are an honest member of the site why be angry at this move? Come along to Kim's monthly Ask The Admin. She will happily explain why the site is changing how moderators operate. I love the fact bad mods will be banned from being able to mod ever again. Like I said, if you have nothing to hide why be worried? if you are popular then you will be fine. If you are out to cause trouble then you won't be... simple really. This sort of thing is long overdue.

I also think the next feature they are planning which will enable members to gift Gold Membership for a whole month to their favourite performers is another idea.
Yeah I think rate a mod could be one of the best things they have introduced. Too many performers are leaving Cam4 & joining Chaturbate. Cam4 need to start striking back to keep people there.

Like you say, a bad mod can harm a performers performance more than the actual performer themselves. If rate a mod is a secret ballot similar to how you rate a performers pvt/group shows and is only limited to those who tipped then its a great decision. There are far too many little Hitler's on Cam4 who think they own the site and they can dictate the rules, this despite the fact most have never sent tokens to anyone. Its got to change.

I do think the advice Kim gave about 'only use tippers as mods' is wise. Its actually common sense. If someone wants to be mod but never tips they are in it for themselves. Not to help the performer.
